Ventura Surf Shop, 88 E. Thompson, Ventura, 805-643-1062.

All this time and I don't think I'd ever been in there. When I needed wax I always went to waveline, and when I needed boards I'd be up in SB.

Well thats all changed now. What a cool crew of guys, great selection of boards, lots of used boards, and MORE SURF GEAR THAN CLOTHES!!! The only demerit was a wide selection of surftechs, but they ALL have that now.

There were some sick bonzers, a nice looking mccrystal juuuust the right size for me, lots of good looking Roberts shortboards. We walked out with a new winged 9'3" malcolm campbell Red-X bonzer longboard for my wife that is just as clean as could be. I'll post a thread with pics on that one. I think the title will be "my wife has a cooler board than you" I rode it too and it goes like buttah.

PS theres a green 6'0" mandala fish (with toe and cant) in pristine condition for mid 300s on the used rack.

So are they laminating the logo under the glass or do you just have to put their stickers on your boards??

I paid full price unfortunately I've been really bummed out on the state of affairs in surf shops these days so I wanted to give props to some people that are doing it right.

But you know, if any surf shops DID want to sponsor me ... I don't think they'd get much resistance

Anyone?
