Oh the humanity! Donohue: paragon of the left, champion of the peace movement, fighter of imagined racism and all around Bush administration hater, cancelled due to low ratings. How could this happen?

Where were you guys? Where was the support and love for a fellow socialist? Maybe everyone was too busy at the peace protests. Maybe everyone was watching the BBC. Was the liberal left just too smart to watch a silly cable news program?

I like to think that only angry white male right wing idiots watch cable news anyway. That is why all those facists news program guys are so popular. The alternative is just too upsetting, that the majority of people in America just don't agree with the Donohues of the world. What a bunch of sheep.

Sheep??? Geeesh, I thought liberals loved sheep. Isn't their motto "Agree with us or get out"?

An excellent and compelling post, o Half-Dollar.
I watched him once, and he was godawful. Blowhards on the left are no better than ones on the right.
I wouldn't stress over the fact that the right gets better Nielsen numbers - last week's most-watched programming consisted of: Joe Millionaire, Michael Jackson in "What The Fvck Happened To My Face?", and The Bachelorette, too.
We've got enough overfed mental midgets in this country to keep the extreme right on cable news forever. Donahue's demise just proves that those of us with a functioning synapse or two aren't going to waste our time listening to this useless partisan cheerleading simply because some idiot claims to be "on our side."

TV right now is way too good to watch any left or right wing nonsense.

Fear factor, Joe Millionire, survivor, CSI, 24, the man show, the chappelle show, south park, smallville.

I gots no time for any more shows..

I watched the donahue show one time, they had Pat Robertson on and Donahue was way too much of a puss with him.... let him spout all sorts of nonsense.

If that's left wing television, it's pretty weak.

Liberals have better things to do with their time I guess.

That's only because right wingers tend to spend their day bitching about everything and wallowing in misery.

Look at the two most succesful radio shows in the country.

1)Howard Stern talking about titties and lesbians.

Or

2)Rush Limbaugh, complaining about "liberals", whining about hollywood, and insulting those he disagrees with.

Which show are liberals going to listen to?

Even if there was a liberal version of Rush, they'd STILL listen to Howard. Because they have better things to do with their time than complain about the world.

3 hours a day of negativity is just pathetic.

The liberals have better things to do with their time then complain about the world? Please. Well, OK, maybe you're right. They're too busy telling others how to live their life or becoming practicing officers of the thought police. And they also dedicate a fair amount of time to their other hobbies such as Sue, Ban, Outlaw, Spend.

Shangri-La
The time-honored scenario:

The right tells people everything that's wrong with the world around them, then promotes a return to a supposedly better time of conservatism and family values. People feel a sense of reasssurance and familiarity and watch/listen in droves, but there's no substance.

The left counters with attmpts to deal with issues head on, sometimes overreacting to the problem in its fervent passion, but it's too difficult for many to hear, and they tune out in droves, missing the message.

In the end, neither gets the substance of the issues to the masses, and neither achieves a solution. The partisan bitch sessions continue.

It's been a long day, and I'm tired. I'm gonna go read about Alma's diet pills and glitter board.

Is "Wally George" still alive?

He is out there. He is much more out there! Just start talking about his daughter posing nude and watch him blow.
