And, didn't Cheyne cop some flak for living with 'the boys' up in byron in the 80's, and putting rainbows on his boards [apparently an icon adopted by the gays for some unknown reason!]
The story goes his dad disowned him there for a while, after reading the article sam [or was it matt] george did on him 'rainbow bridge', during cheyne's " herbal enhacement" period.
But I don't want to open THAT can of worms... good board, good photo, well done TFAD ...
One day I want to find a copy of 'rainbow bridge' the video... I believe it has surfing in it , in the midst of all the tripping in a crater music stuff of Jimi's !

how does a bonzer like that ride? does it trim like a sinlge fin but turn like a bonzer? it seems as if a shpae like that would be surfed alot from the front 2/3 of the board in trim rather than constantly turning from the tail.
The Rainbow in this case refers to the Rainbow Bridge era with Mike Hynson, et al.
A local guy bought the rights to the name and artwork and has been working with Pavel on a line of boards. There are a few single fins and five fins for sale at the Thalia St. shop in Laguna and The Green Room in Ocean Beach, San Diego. (I think I saw a few in the Leucadia Surf Shop awhile back as well). I neglected to take photos of the groovy space airbrushes.
