how do those work on smaller boards? i use g-1000's which is a realy small fin on my 5;8" by about 2" thick. how would those work differently? ive been wanting to experiment with different fins
IMO, they are the best fins for small-medium surf that FCS offers, altho I (and plenty of pros, including Slater) have ridden them in larger surf and they seem to work fine. They are both drivey and loose... not so much loose as they allow tighter, pocket-based turns. It is hard to go wrong with them.
i have a set of both. the g1000's are much loser. being a small grom and all your turns probably arent full of power. the k fins will give you more drive off the bottom...but im gonna say that for you they would work better in head high-slightly overhead surf <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I once met slater- short dude, still kinda grom-sized.

i actually do want them but i cant get them since i got my report card today. i guess ill have to wait to get some new fins <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/socrazy.gif" alt="" />
