Need advice for fast recovery from a Jefferson Fracture (broken C1). Anyone have experience with this? How long before you were surfing again?

Also known as a "bursting fracture" in some circles this can be a highly unstable fracture. I would suggest only high impact sports if directly released by your surgeon.

Its possible with this type of fracture to be "retired" from the lineup forever.
