My girlfriend is really trying to find a good place to stay this summer for a week. I really like the idea, just trying to find something reasonable in price and at a good location...hopefully with some decent summer surf. Price is the main factor. Does anyone have any suggestions or info that you can share with me?
Thanks. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Looking to stay somewhere in late may early june.

Decent summer surf on the East coast? Do not depend on it.

I mean, it happens, but is rare.

If I were you I would not get oceanfront property either. It's irresponsible.

surf is not that important. i just want to make the girlfriend happy cause she really needs a vacation. i mean, i'll bring my boards no matter what and hopefully score some decent waves. just looking for good places to stay for a week.

why do you think oceanfront is irresponsible?

Outer Banks. Beautiful scenery, pretty clear warm water (by EC standards), lots of fish and best bet into lucking into some surf. Rental houses/hotels/lodging of every size, shape and price. For the real deal, go south of Oregon Inlet.

Thanks...I was thinking the outer banks. I'll look into it. Hopefully I'll find a house for a decent price.
