im headin down to DR for xmas break, im stayin in this hotel on the north coast in puerta plata, i hear there are some spots around, namely, coffee break, tea time, and la puntilla i dont know how good these waves are and how far away they are from the town...anybody know anything??

thanks for the info, that website was alot of help...have you been to the DR north shore before, if you have, then can you tell me how constitent it is,. and if there are any good surf shops around

been there... if you go Oct thru April.. should be like 4-6ft. theres Surf shops in Cabarete.. due east of Puerto Plata..

thanks for the pics..im staying in Puerta Plata in the occidental grand flamenco hotel,..i just hope there is a nice surf spot right outside the hotel. so i don't have to go through the inconvience of searching along the coast, and surfing at a spot i have to take public transpotation evryday to
