Bummer.

Late sixties and seventies were such a cool time in surfing for me. So much changed, but without losing the connection to pure surfing joy that all of us had.

RIP Geoff. He was an innovator and gentleman.
Just got myself a shiny new 6'1" nugget recently.
My first McCoy was in 81 when I was living in Bondi. Saw Cheyne, his brother Steve and their mate Adrian out there ripping on the early McCoy lazor zaps. My mate Dave and I both ordered one. Wish I still had that board. Had some awesome McCoys over the years. Great loss to the surfing world.

Only had one,And it was so best up.I took it too Dennis Jarvis of Spyder boards and he tried too replicate it the Lazer Zap of that Era with a singe fin,And it was cool board.
