Why do so many on the Left struggle with basic economic and business concepts?

there is no requirement men’s sports share gate receipts with women’s sports. How schools fund sports is completely up to them.

Bullshit.

Is this the explanation for why there's however many pages of you simply reframing the latest Holy Land snafu as "What if Hamas allows the saliva Israel's balls are being cupped in to dip beyond .1 degree Fahrenheit tolerance ever again?" followed by something like "But I'm not saying area-bomb Gaza until nothing moves." unless someone says area-bomb Gaza until nothing moves, then you let that post stand as-is?
Maybe it's my latent jew blood coursing through my veins biases my opinions?

Also, you are strawmannirg me a little and conflating a little too.

But I get it.

AIPAC forever!

That has nothing to do with sharing gate receipts. Schools fund their athletics in several different ways. Some are self funded, some are funded by the university generally, and some by a hybrid Model. Most minor sports are partially funded by alumni donations. Even if in practice football programs end up supporting all other sports, there is no legal requirement that football share revenue with women sports.

Title Ix requires equal opportunity, not shared revenue.

You‘re often wrong about legal matters. I admire your ability to ignore your failures and to keep trying!

Your stupid argument is like the stupid leftist argument that giving Iran hundreds of $Billions earmarked as "humanitarian aid" means Iran can't spend it on building missiles and nuclear warheads. It's just bullshit.

Title IX says that schools must SPEND equal amounts on men's and women's sports programs. Most colleges' sports programs take in enough money from men's sports gate receipts to fund their sports programs. I don't give a fck if they send the gate receipts on world tours before spending it on the sports programs, the gate receipts fund the programs.

Title IX means that women athletes are profiting from money earned by men athletes.

:roflmao:

NBA revenue is more than 100x the WNBA. WNBA isn’t profitable. So why do so many believe that she deserve disproportionately more than her male counterparts relative to the revenue they generate

Wow, that salary is weak tho - why doesn't she negotiate ?

the colleges are socialist enterprises anyway, funded by the state and taxes - they do not operate within the stomach of your myopic economic Roomba

And for proof that transgenders in women's sports is directly tied with title IX:

Biden dismantles Trump-era Title IX rules, sidesteps issue of trans athletes in girls' sports

----------------------------------------------
......Missing from the new rule, however, is a policy forbidding schools from enacting outright bans on transgender athletes competing against biological females.

The Biden administration was widely expected to bring in such a policy but has instead put the provision on hold. The delay is widely seen as a political maneuver during an election year in which Republicans have rallied around bans on transgender athletes in girls' sports.

Under the new rules, sex discrimination includes discrimination based on gender identity as well as sexual orientation. A school must not separate or treat people differently based on sex, except in limited circumstances, under the provisions and critics say that the change will allow locker rooms and bathrooms to be based on gender identity.....
----------------------------------------------

Looks like Obiden's handlers got the message that forcing trannies into women's sporting competitions doesn't sell well in voting booths.

Sigh

“As per WSN, the WNBA generated around $60 million in revenues in 2023, which comes from 12 teams in the league. Compared to the WNBA, the NBA generates $10 billion in revenue which is generated through 30 teams across the league.”
Exactly what I said above.

Because that's not a thing in the WNBA. It's like the NFL - the Player's Union collectively bargained, and rookies drafted with the Xth pick in the Yth round make $Z/year for 4-5 years.

The NFL used to be a shitshow of draft picks holding out, refusing to play, etc. because owners (read: Spanos) tried to cheap out.

No it doesn’t. It says opportunities to participate must be equal.

If I’m wrong, I’m sure you can link me to the language in the legislation that says expenses must be equal. I’ll wait. In the meantime:

Also, outside of NIL, no player makes any money. I’m interested to hear how you think female athletes (or male athletes playing minor sports) are profiting at all.

For reference, let’s take UCLA’s athletic department, which has run up over $130,000,000 in debt over the last few years. Explain how female athletes are profiting in this scenario. Again, I’ll wait.

Sticking with UCLA because it’s nearby and public, most minor sports, make or female, cost between $500,000 yo $1,000,000 a year to fully fund. About 25% of that comes from donors, the rest is funded by the athletic department. Football, on the other hand, costs about $40,000,000 per year to run.

Is that spending equal?

The Queefs just tried to hit up KC along with the Royals for new digs or something like that. I think their ownership is better than the Chargers but every single one of these clowns generally has both hands out, holding open a bag with a dollar sign on it, prodding the dying city to subsidize commercial real estate.....

Excellent response to a post wherein it was clearly explained to you what the talent demanded/negotiated and John Hancock'd.

Diva-sh!t like this, especially six days before the draft, is the sort of thing that costs these players phatty stacks. The fact that nobody in the NFL or WNBA has done it, even though they'll carry guns into clubs and shoot themselves in the foot and take weed vapes to Russia, should tell you something.

Deion Sanders's kid will probably enter the draft next year. If he doesn't do it, it's officially not a thing.
