Agree on that. Also, waist width is just one aspect of width too. Tail width is incredibly impactful on the ride in my experience.

Currently 195. With the exception of the Red Beauty I was 210-215 when all those other boards were bought.
The twinsman feels a little over volumed now TBH.
TM is 36L - I think - which is on the high end of those listed. The only dims on it are “5’11”.
The Disasym is - best guess - 32ish (it’s a 5’9) for the low end. No volume written on it and it’s custom dims.
No volume listed on the Red Beauty or Alpha Omega either.

My 5’8 Flare is 20”, my 5’6.5” Fuse is 20-1/4”. I’m 6’ and currently 166. I ride 169W snowboards. I guess I like generally wider borts since I have size 12 feet and the leverage feels right.
All my borts are 20-21 and have been for years, except one special occasion slim job at 19 1/8 which I surfed some weeks ago for the first time in a couple years - could hardly paddle the thing!

20.25-22 here. seems once i hit over 21.25 i start to feel the negatives though
I hear ya. For me it’s 21”. I’ve tried a couple short 5’3-5’7 gravelers >21” wide and it felt like trying to paddle and surf a pizza box. Did not care for Mathdebater’s Manta (22” wide, I think) that everyone on erBB loves as a socal graveler.
21 feels, in my hands, like the point where it feels like not a regular shortboard anymore.
but if it’s a twin fin, fish, whatever kinda thing…get wide, i can turn it. I think my DD is well over 22 inches and i can rip on it

I keep it between 20-21”. TKF at 21 and down from there minus 1 sub 20” indo boar that waits for its day patiently in the rafters….and waits and waits.
