I hope we get some Tropical Storms in the E Gulf this season but "safe surf" seems to be a May/June thing if that. I can wish for knee high cleanup vs a 3/4/5, but you can pretty much forget a storm in the Gulf that nobody winds up wearing.

Funnily enough first session where I was able to get to my feet on unbroken waves was during a hurricane swell in Bradenton mid 1980s. My grandparents lived on Longboat Key. Only times I ever saw a wave on the gulf
