Equating sugar to drugs like heroin, alcohol, nicotin, etc. is absurd.

Nobody is sucking dick behind a dumpster for a snickers bar.
Because you can buy sugar products in the supermarket.

Last I heard there's an obesity epidemic in the USA. Think sugar has anything to do with that?

Went to see my mom today. She was pushing cookies and Godiva chocolates on me. I was going to just say no...but ended up saying, "Just one."

The “sugar is an addictive drug” trope is just another in a long list of excuses that allow obese people to avoid any personal responsibility for their bad choices.

Whaaaahhhh, I can’t help it! I’m addicted to evil sugar! It’s not my fault I’m fat….

Derp….

Well, I guess if I need to score some heroin I know who NOT to give the money to.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to snort a couple of big rails of pure cane sugar. But don’t worry, if I stop breathing the wife is standing by ready to administer steamed broccoli and bring me back.

I love the cohen bros, but that one was a dud...did you see Hail, Cesar! they did a huge synchronized swimming scene straight out of old hollywood. it is GORGEOUS

the new MacBeth has been getting mixed reviews

I'm still really bummed about the Wes Anderson movie...it was legit BAD
I didnt like hail ceasar! the first time i saw it. The 2nd time it was better.

I thought inside llewyn davis was pretty good but not near the top for the cohen bros.

A serious man is the one i havent clicked with at all.

Not exactly.

People aren't addicted to sugar, they're addicted to the dopamine rush.

Sugar is addictive like surfing, social media, and porn.

This has nothing to do with being fat or making excuses.

I know what powerless means. Sugar is hucked up, carbs too if that's your thing. Can't be around that stuff, until I get to a much better place, then I will just control it but now? I don't stand a chance. It's like I'm an addict and that's my bottom line.

I chuckle at people who think they understand addiction, but so clearly haven't a clue.

Don’t keep any candy or sugar in the house. handful of berries In my oatmeal and a mango or apple here and there.

If it’s not around you can’t eat it.
Works well if you live alone or if everyone else in the house is also good with not having that stuff around
I’m surrounded by never ending temptation. I think my sense of taste is coming back a little, but it’s way easier to resist when flavor is taken out of the equation

I’m a non-drinking alcoholic, grew up in an alcoholic family, volunteer at drug rehabilitation facility and help addicts transition to a healthy lifestyle through jiu jitsu.

I understand addiction a lot more than most.

That’s why when people compare sugar to heroin I laugh at them.

Not exactly.

Couldn't the same thing be said for methamphetamine? It's my understanding that meth provides a bigger dopamine rush than any other drug. Hence it's "popularity" and leading to addiction very easily.

I'll never understand the non-drinking alcoholic ("dry drunk," this used to be called not that long ago). How can you be an alcoholic if you don't drink? I think it just means you're an asshole.
