As it turns out, Trump had the tweet scheduled to go out hours after his leaving to Afghanistan to spend Thanksgiving with deployed troops. He knew it would drive the media nuts and provide him additional cover as they fell over each other to collectively become unhinged and make a huge deal out of a silly picture. Trump wins again.
It doesn’t “bother” me; I don’t dwell on it. Its idiocy is apparent on its face, plain for all to see. People should call it for what it is. But some (many?) can’t acknowledge even that, and defend it as “trolling.” It’s just mass stupidity on their part.
