Captain Fin Co: Twin Fin Especial

These look like a blueprint to becoming a eunuch.
Not gonna lie.

They were SHARP as fk out of the package. Sushi knife sharp. I surfed a cpl sesh - and then took some sandpaper to dull the trailing edge and beak corner. Still ride great.
Smart move. The template on the sides remind me of the glass-on tri set I had on a Xanadu back in the mid 90's. The super sharp set were responsible for an impressive assortment (at least four) of fin cuts that took 8-10 sutures to close over the course of nine months. I finally snapped the board at an NSSA Open Men's at sizey Cardiff Reef. One of a handful of boards in my 35+ years of surfing that I would characterize as magic and a major reason why I never wanted to try dulling the trailing edges/tip.

These are the best fins I’ve ever ridden...strange, but awesome. I’ve put extra plugs in most of my board, for the twin plus trailer option.

I’d like to try that template Clammy!
I’m sure it would go great on those sweet twins you’ve been posting on insta.

My last project was putting them in an MTF that came with munted futures. It was super fast.

I ran them in my DVS "weiner" a compressed pintail stubby longboard planshape and they went so well. Stupidly sold them off when selling boards due to a bad back. Never in stock when I check.

They always seem to find some or make some quickly when I call them. They are good to deal with but sometimes the website is a bit behind the inventory.

For 160.00 a set I could clean that template up :)

Even do the 3 tabs too !

As you know my own fins are designed for a very different placement .

I didn't know this was that common - I have those fins, and I'm going to do the same.

GG - would you ever do futures boxes, even if you just left them as a big block for me to deal with? I want to try your fins in my latest board, if it is ever returned from my much-maligned glassing shop.

Yes very different placement, I’ve never tried these as straight twins only + trailer.
