Bob's photos were the ones that blew me away too.
What would our California and friends in Hawaii call the size of this wave? I've been around a long time and these are the biggest waves I've ever seen attempted in NJ. Paddling that in a 5mm is next level. Water about 45-46.Bob's photos were the ones that blew me away too.
Looks like Cole reposted them.
Mean AF
Doesn't matter what they think as they would never go near it. The water temp here in San Diego is 63 degrees and most have been in 4/5mm wetsuits with boots for the past 2 months. I surfed Blacks last week in my 2mm short sleeve comp and a guy says "aren't you cold?" I was like "c'mon guy its sunny, almost 70 degrees, and the waters 63. You're wearing what we wear during snowstorms in the middle of winter in Jerz". Tells you all you need to know! What would our California and friends in Hawaii call the size of this wave? Truth right there. Was out there in early November about five years ago and there were guys in the water in hooded suits with boots and gloves and I'm out there all day in a 3/2 and the thinnest boots I own and no gloves.Doesn't matter what they think as they would never go near it.
