I gather wrong season for surf, but I’m there for work on someone else’s dime.

Will probably have a day or so to mess around. Never been, will be staying in Nusa.

Why not fly to Mentawais since you're almost there?

Serious question because I'm trying to figure a similar situation out. I'll be in Japan or Singapore next spring for work and trying to figure out where to go in Indo since I've never been.

Just got back from 3 weeks on the east coast . 18 th visit over the years .
quite shocked at the construction around the Bukit and Russian accents everywhere.
kite surfing and foiling on the east coast , shot over for a decent swell at impossibles mid tide double o head joy .
you will get waves for SURE on the east side and explore , enjoy .respect .

The wave at Nusa Dua is/can be epic. If theres gonna be swell being a bigger board for there.

I wanted to visit Bali for a really long time and I heard the water is amazing there, especially for surf. Could you come back with a review after your trip?

probs too early for the trades to give up. but only a relatively short trip to the bukit for some ulus afternoon fun. early mornings will still be fun on the east coast in october. as ranga said the wave has some push and appreciates a step up.

picked me up from my hotel, lent me a boar and took me to a break I wouldn’t have found on my own. Basically shared our own peak and a few obligatory bintangs after.

couldnt help but return hospitality, had an extra night on my room due to a late night flight home - I hope I don’t find out he’s actually a Eunice imp! time will tell if there’s an extra cleaning fee that shows up on my credit card. He sent me this as I drove away to the airport -
