yes, no problem. So do these channel bottom twins go good backside or not?
Avoiding them for solid -aka Real -design reasonsthe one boar griffin hasnt been making already since 1970 lol
I realize this is probably asking for too much, but you think deep channels on a rounded-pin twin have no value? Explain clearly, please.Avoiding them for solid -aka Real -design reasons
just throw a high wing on it and it’ll go greg!Avoiding them for solid -aka Real -design reasons
All that area loss on a round pin makes a less exciting rideI realize this is probably asking for too much, but you think deep channels on a rounded-pin twin have no value? Explain clearly, please.
I appreciate less excitement when dropping into a heavy grinding top to bottom wave. I find it very stable and predictable while feeling fast and free of a trailer fin.All that area loss on a round pin makes a less exciting ride
Why are these guyz afraid of Excitement !!
Keep searching - you Will find betterI appreciate less excitement when dropping into a heavy grinding top to bottom wave. I find it very stable and predictable while feeling fast and free of a trailer fin.
yes, hideousThose things at the top of this page are going to paddle like baseball bats with all that foward flotation you have climb up on to level the board out
now those are the words of a salesman.Keep searching - you Will find better
Stellar quiver fishy L! How is your Gary Mac "Two"? Is it a midlength, step up or both? More importantly how does the "Two" compare to your mote 7'7 and 6,6? Do tell I am frothy as, cheersI’ve got 4. 3 morning of the earth 7’7, 6,6 and 5’8 all with channels and the new addition an McNeill TWO 7 ft. All great boards and work in all sized waves but they need steepness in the wave. Mushy flat waves they just don’t like them. For those waves my wider tailed boards like my fish or dharma are much better.
the Two is almost more of a step up than a mid length. I find it needs speed and then it really excels. Really carvey and smooth when the speed is up and the wave has push. My 6’6 is pretty close to the feel of the Two. But the Mote boards have better momentum and connection to the wave if that’s makes sense. The 7’7 is different to all those boards. Almost like a glider but still can turn and perform when the waves get good. That extra swing weight gives it its unique feeling.Stellar quiver fishy L! How is your Gary Mac "Two"? I want something similiar but speed egg with AO bottom.twin 6'9" x21 x2.5" shaped by MC. How does your grovel and surf say head high days? Looks like you have her pulled in 19.25".If anyone is interested, here's the one I shaped with my buddy a few months ago, and has been getting a lot of time in the water. Ride as a single or a twin (not a thruster / 2+1 / whatever the f).
Fins pictured are the NPJ + CW , and way too big for the board. I switched to the akila aipas, and those are close to perfect. I also ride it with a Josh Hall 7.5" single once in a while, but that's not what this thread is about.
6'10" x 19.25" x 2.5"
Color / glass by Alan Beels, and Mikah from addict did those pinlines.
I'd love to try a midlength twin from one of they guys who really know how to do it. This one's super-fun, and came from my garage....
