WCT fronts and Neutral quad rears will get you closest. The only rub is that those quad rears are 80/20 foil whereas the K2.1 quad rears are flat.

You could try a set of Pivot quad rears (which are flat foiled) but the rear K2.1 rear quad set actually has a bit of rake to them.

An interesting combo might be the WCT fronts and the Scimitar rear quad fins. Those are a neutral, flat foiled template.

It took me years of messing with fins for me to come to WCT fronts and seaworthy controller rears. Has been a magic setup for me across a bunch of boards..from grovelers to step ups

That’s a trip. I’ve had both sets. Never would’ve come up with that combo. Both pretty upright, no?

Funny enough it is almost absolutely identical to the von sol quad set. Really sweet mix of drivey and loose.

It's interesting. I absolutely love the K2.1 thruster set in almost everything but hated the K2.1 quad set. Could never get them to work until I changed out the rears to more upright fins.

My thoughts were that with thrusters, most of the pivot comes from the front fins and with quads you get most of the pivot from the rear fins.

Maybe everyone already knew this, but it was a lightbulb moment for me.

Was looking at Feb’s new fish on the CI website. Wife walks in…

”You lookin for a new board?”

She sounded excited and supportive. Not specifically about the fish, just her thinking I was looking for a new board.

This is good.

Won’t have to get a new board bag to hide the next one.

Maaaaaaan.

Whenever I'm browsing CL looking for deals or interesting boards my wife will shake her head, look at me in disgust and say, "I don't know why you don't just order what you want from Ward" like Kermit the frog sipping tea and minding his business. Then I feel shamed and stop looking.

Fucking Jedi, that one.

erBB bros, please forgive me for my sins. I have not yolo'd a "new" boar in 2 yrs and I have credits to burn.

I need some ideas, I've honestly just not been inspired much by what I see out there. Only criteria are that it must be available off the rack, pu/pe, and in stock. - an ideal board for this year's late fall early winter seasons in NCSD. I have no urge to order a custom and wait, I need instant gratification. I'd prefer something that can handle a variety of conditions that may be offered.

worst case scenario I may finally pull the trigger on a Pyzalien 2. Other tire kicking that came to mind is a CC Nautalis as I've quite enjoyed my Lane Splitter and they have the same rocker.

fwiw, my current DD is a Lane Splitter.

Alpha Omega. Dark Arts has some in stock. PU blank.

CC Fish or Acid Fish.

Or get a P2 and tell me what fins to use.

See if Ryan Sakal has any of his performance fish, the Howler, in stock as a quad in your size

Or keep the twin fin theme going and snag a Pyzel Twin Crisis or one of those Blackbird Hawkeye Hybrids

Hey Duffman - literally any of these fin combos will work in the Pyzalien 2, just not the damn Stretches

I’m assuming you’re a much better surfer than me, so it feels weird to keep having to give you advice on how to fin one of the most user-friendly boards on the planet:p
