My son just sent me the below photo. Said it happened about 20 minutes ago at Lovers Point. SUP. Guy wasn’t hurt.

That looks like a fairly significant bite radius.

I had my first ever White Shark encounter this morning in Coronado. Paddled over a set wave that the lone guy outside of me caught and as I'm looking back watching him on the left I spot this dark shadow swimming right towards me. My initial thought was ahh sea lion, no big deal. As it gets closer I notice its much wider than a sea lion and definitely not a dolphin. Fucker swims straight under me and I'm looking down in the shallowish clear water and clearly notice a juvenile white shark about 6 feet long. Somewhat rattled I paddle in towards the guy who just kicked out and told him what I just saw. He shrugged it off and paddled right back out. I soon followed him back out and surfed fun uncrowded tropical swell for two more hours with no issues.

i wonder if he can sell the bitten paddleboard for a good profit
