No one here in freezing cold 805 Southern CA well even blink an.eye considering all year most wear 4/3 and booties. Plus if it helps you scale wave size better I am all for it Duffy:shaka:

Don't tell me you surf NSD and wear 4/3 hood and booties:drowning:
Imagine what the guys on the right coast think this time of year of So CA 60 degree air and 56 degree h20 suited up to surf Alaska:waving:

no, i actually surf SLA and NOC but I have bad arthritis in my hands from working. I wear a 4/3 this time of year - sometimes booties, sometimes not but Ive never worn a hood except once in my life at BSR of all places.

I was in southern California the first week of November a few years ago and the water was probably 62 and the air in the 60s and 70s and there were a few guys wearing hooded 4/3s boots and gloves. Was bizarre. I was in a 3/2 with no boots or gloves for hours on end with no problem.

Everyone is different I know but I like to train my mind and body as I get older (next month 51) to with stand and continue thinking booties come in around Santa Cruz everything South currently wear 3/3 but during youth always 3/2:)

I think Xcel makes a .5 glove if you just need something to cut the chill. Been able to shed the gloves (1.5) off and on this winter, been kinda warm for these parts.
