the construction looks dodgy to me, saw a pic from one of the other members where it broke right after where the "carbon" ended. the SL-C looks legit and something worth buyingI really dont like the way that build looks (looks like suspenders. ha) but honest opinion about the construction is that it felt much better than a standard wood stringer.

It’s not going to. Had a tail dinged up with foam exposed and just stuffed it with wax and rode the board for more than 2 years before deciding to fix it, bone dry.
I’d think SL-C should be similar. Much cleaner look too
eh mine got ran over and other than some punctures in the glass from the gravel was fine
Page 32 of this thread, this is what turned me off to the parallel carbon that doesn't go the full length. looks like it creates a weak point just after the carbon, buyer beware
I dont think so. I think the theory is that the board flexs from the fins up through along the rail lines to the nose. Javier told me that on a bottom turn your pushing off the rail, then on the top turn - pushing off the rail. So the theory is the flex is mostly on the rails and not very often through the middle. Its an interesting theory.
that broken tail pc board popped up right after i ordered so i called shey to see if i could get the carbon all the way down to the tail and he said since i had 8.0 glass order it was already getting it. maybe double check when ordering but thats what he told me and thats how it came (all the way to the tail)
Guess we'll know it's an issue when the last 2" of your tail snaps off...
