Not too familiar with XTR. I saw a new XTR board today that had a slight yellowish color to it. Not the whole board but very small pockets near the nose and along the side of the rails. What is the cause? Does this have a negative impact on the board/performance?

mine yellow's like a mofo, board looks two years old after only like 6 months, it even is yellowed around my wax, where my wax is the board is totally white and everywhere else it looks old. Still works decent though, worked insane when it was new.

Had one XTR board over a year with no loss of performance. GREAT foam & glassing combination (5.0 on that board - I dislike the 5.2 after a few attempts and haven't tried 5.C). That board was less yellow than an equally aged PU board, but the XTR doesn't break down the way PU does. PU when crushed powders, whereas extruded polystyrene (XTR's foam) just shifts position. With the use of epoxy, yes you will have dents in the board but that doesn't destroy it and lead to delams. The epoxy caves with the foam. I freaking love XTR boards. New photos coming soon.

By the way, EpoxyPros will be increasing their costs in the near future so invest in a board now before prices go up another $50 to $100. Just a suggestion if you're into the board you're looking at. It's still worth it for more, but if you can pay less... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />

I've got two now that are almost a year old, and people still say "hey, new board?" all the time when I'm riding it. They're so white they're almost blue, and the deck crush is so minimal. I'm 210lbs and they take the abuse like a champ.

I just got back from oahu, where my XTR whiplash kicked major ass, so the stuff is not just for small waves.

They're amazing boards. Interesting about the price increase, I better get my orders in.
