^ that Koa Smith one is the only board that my girl was MAD at me for selling. beautiful board. I couldn't figure it out - felt too big and too small at the same time... but i didnt give it enough of a shot, i dont think. , i kinda want to try a mr buzz or the other one ... how big is Red Lee and how's it going for him?

I see Red Lee every time I surf the local dumpy beach break

I ordered these 3 at one point a few years ago. The orange 5’4 was a bit oversized but I REALLY dug the swallowtail. The green 5’2 was sized perfectly but I liked the way the swallowtail felt while riding a wave and sinking the tail through turns. The EPS Tech was great but there was something special with the 5’2 bamboo/cork one. It was heavier but had great flex without being overly springy. It had quick “tight” rebound off the whitewater on cutbacks and didn’t lost any momentum continuing out of turns. Got rid of them due to shoulder surgery, knowing I wouldn’t be surfing for a few months. Still think about them occasionally, especially the bamboo/cork one

Gotta weigh in on that Mr buzz.

Xmesa sold it to me, I sold it to red Lee.

Thing is not meant for 90% of SD waves, and it was too big for me at 5'7" 160#. Insanely high performance shape. Very memorable board.

What's odd about that Koa Smith one is that Koa isn't a big guy and a 5'2 x 19.5" x 2.5" sk8 deck would be huge for him.
Crazy...

6’1, used to some width 21+, what size would you go?
Rts265 mr buzz sounded great to me but did not end up ordering because good footage always seen was on good waves with some punch. I would love to take as small wave board to warm surf desination but for So CA superbuzz made more sense

I've unlocked how to lose weight through surfing. Ride a tiny Mr Buzz.

In the three weeks since I started riding it, I've lost 3 pounds without changing anything else in my life. I don't think I've lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks ever in my life.

am I nutz or is that thing too small for boths of you?
I cant speak for racer but for me, definitely.

Maybe they pack more foam for the dims than I realize but these days anything under 5-7 or so can fck right off. No matter how stubby the nose and wide the tail.

Still, if'n I ever found one locally for a reasonable ask I'd probably give it a roll in the hay just to satisfy my long held curiosity.
