The Democrats will lose the House and Senate because the majority of Americans are total idiots. And the Republicans voter suppression sh!t will work

It seems to me that both parties are trying as hard as they can to alienate the maximum number of voters possible, ensuring party purity for the few that are left.

It's a little early, but it's entirely possible that the majority of 2022 voters will be looking back on two years of relative peace and prosperity...shots and checks, checks and balances, a return to normalcy, etc.

A return to the policies of chaos, nonsense, and craziness may not be an attractive alternative for them..

The GOP draws districts in more places that matter and the (D) normally tote a fatty L the midterm after a Presidential win. The scrum for Speaker would be straight LIT.

The Senate map isn't that favorable to the GOP this cycle. The (D) have to defend Warnock in GA which will be tough, and AZ, but the (R) have to defend Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Ohio.

I'm telling you, the racist, flat-earth, big lie Republicans are going to prevail. No doubt. Trump was merely a symptom. Conservative autocracy here we come.

Worthwhile story to add to this thread. Perhaps these individuals see the writing on the wall.

and what is the writing on the wall, exactly?

There is no doubt that the vote suppressing, stop the stealing, big lie endorsing, Capitol storming insurrection supporting Republicans will retake the house and the senate. Canada soon.
MAGA, blessed day

Seems like a legit source
That source is trash but WaPo is pointing to the same thing and it's not exactly ground-breaking to say the out-party typically has an advantage in the midterms. Sure the redstate article probably characterizes policy positions with 60-70% support as left wing, but they might still be right that the (D) will be toting an L in a year and a half.

It's also unclear what is going to happen in these states. The GOP in Wisconsin seemed to **** off a bunch of people, same in Pennsylvania. In Florida they seem to be doing better. DeWine in Ohio seems to be particularly popular governor.

Candidates matter, too. The GOP is batshit insane but the (D) have a notoriously thin bench. Sometimes they get a strong candidate, like Mark Kelly in Arizona, sometimes they lose Ted Kennedy's old seat in Mass. LOLOLOLOL. All it's going to take is some more easily-spread Covid variant to hit the wrong group of people in Florida, and you'll see a shitshow like Cuomo had in New York.

With respect to 2024, so far I see some bets to take and sell at a later date, and some bets to short like it's Gamestop but not on Deep F Value's radar.
