Yeah, Hannity really gets me by exchanging "You're A Great American" with everyone who calls in to agree with him. WTF???!!! The person could be on meth masturbating to goat porn for all he knows. So much hot air. Also Hannity will ask a question and when he doesn't like the way it's going interrupt with a new question. What a donkey. Laura Ingram is unlistenable. Savage is cool 'cause he has opinions about things other than partisanship.

Actually I read a Slate piece on him and they claimed to have unearthed a novel he wrote in the sixties called "Vital Signs" which was homoerotic in parts. He also hung out with Allen Ginsberg and Kenneth Rexroth...who knows? It blows his street cred to the other hosts, who he attacks pretty regularly.
Savage does NOT live in San Francisco, he lives in Marin county, probably Tiburon or Sausalito.
Of the talk show hosts mentioned, he is the only independent. The rest are either Fox or RNC shills. He's so dead right and out of mainstream on some things it is interesting, he is so dead wrong on others it is sad. But he generally presents well thought out arguments based in logic.
The shills are bad either way, fracas or skully, I hate their political viewpoints equally, they cannot see past partisanship to get at what is in the best interests of the electorate. Everything the opposition does is shielded in the interests of the few, everything the party does is in the interests of the people.
And that is what is refreshing about Savage, he is independent and not afraid to speak out against the wrongs on either side of the aisle.

Regardless of the medium, the task of coming up with "new" for 4hrs a day or 24hrs a day will inevitably lead to the same result - they will be compelled to try to make something out of nothing at least part of the time because they can never stop feeding the beast.
Better question would be why are all the most popular political talk shows, TV networks and YouTube channels always right wing?
