Bitcoin is lagging ass. Almost everything else has taken back that June dip and a hundred random alt coins a day are doing 30%+

Time again to take @Chee-to's famous financial advice: "there is really nothing more to crypto than apeing into random dog coins"
Dog themed coins going up, Bitcoin going down, all dogs will be winner!

COVAL and QSP went huge today.

Now EOS, JASMY and other coins warming up. Crazy day as BTC remained stable with the triple bottom bounce off the lower trendline.

Mt Gox News - Approximately 137,000 BTC ($2.74bn) is estimated to be released within the next month. This is still a huge reduction on the 850,000 BTC initially lost during the hack.

---

The nasty fakeout around 1am last night, to fall out of the big rising wedge. On big moves like this, they like to do three things

1. Drag it out as far as possible before pattern failure (check)
2. Strong move to the opposite direction right before failure (check)
3. Make the big move when all of US is asleep (check)

My *guess* is they will have trouble pushing this sub 20 again.

Finally got our big drop out of the rising wedge.

Lots of chatter on social about Mt. Gox distribution, so maybe this is it. If so, all bets are off and market could slam to 10k or less. 137,000 BTC is a lot of BTC back on the market.

still haven't seen much more about the mt. gox distribution
This is taking such a long while that I have to to keep an obsolete iPad around so I can log in to the claims site at MtGox (https://claims.mtgox.com/)...the claims account was paired to the iPad for (two step verification.

Already had to resubmit new contact information to the Japanese judicial system because the email associated with the original account was deprecated by the email server I initially used as well.

Last bit of info I have is from over a month ago:1661461790670.png

BTC went ponzi this morning. Woke up early and it was on the brink of finally busting this bearflag to the downside. Suddenly, out of nowhere, someone bought about 1,800 BTC in one minute, and created a big bullish engulfing candle.

Then fomo kicked in for another two solid green candles. ALTs went wild as usual, following BTC up.

Then JPow went live and started talking from the summit meeting at Jackson Hole. Market slammed down, then slammed back up as fomo buyers bought the dip. Then after Jpow finished talking, market started dropping again. Then fomo panic set in and drove it back to the bottom.

Then shorts piled on and hammered it through the bottom.

More drama than a crazy ex-gf.

How are they distributing the BTC? - seems like there are massive opportunities for fook ups
According to articles, Owners have to choose from a small list of approved exchanges, and all money will be sent to their wallets on those exchanges.

Yes, there could def be some fookups but there are measures that can be taken to mitigate the risk. All about getting the wallet addresses correct and I'm sure there is some cross referencing going on to make sure BTC goes to correct wallets. I sure as hell would not want to be in charge of such a task.

@Mr Doof any updates? Are we going to get an invite to the yacht launch ceremony?

These pennant patterns usually mark breaks to the upside, but when they turn downward it's usually extreme.
Almost never have I see a rising wedge break upward. See my previous comment on this pattern.

Pennant pattern is symmetrical triangle which as a much different top line. See below.

I find pennant patterns in crypto to be an absolute bitch. Half the time they break down and half the time they break up. And on the ones that breakup, they seem to fail before double top. Hate when this pattern is formed, which is all the time. :toilet:
