Not strictly bitcoin, but certainly crypto adjacent as this is about XRP.

Background

Current price as of a few moments (today) based on irrational exuberance:

Possible reason for spike in full is here (click me) with visual blurb:

PS
I would not put my retirement money into this as I am but a humble dilettante in these sorts of things.

IDK, i'm pretty long Styro Steve - have been in since the beginning and intend to stay unless something drastic happens.

if you've been in it for a while and on the + side, might as well...it will get some kinda nudge if they win the appeal but i agree, who the hell uses it and for what? it's been around for a long time and had a fairly strong/annoying community at one point but i nvr could see through the smoke & mirrors..

Yeah I’m at 39th and park just below grand central. We were in the Chrysler for decades but snatched a good Covid era deal on two floors of a far more modern building, all pimped out kinda , nice views of the south face of grand central

Kona is pretty good, careful what you order. The Hawaiian latte, while indeed made with great beans, has a bunch of coconut or coconut sweetener. if you’re a purist make sure you are ordering something un sweetened for a “real” cup of Kona, be it espresso style or brewed

makes Starbucks look cheap lol. a regular small is like $6

Not strictly Bitcoin related, but adjacent....

Full story

Blurb:

Now Ulbricht is a free man, and as Protos reports, crypto wallets linked to him have received countless donations as he's become a martyr-like figure.
But instead of returning the favor or making a quick buck by selling off a portion of his newfound riches, Ulbricht appears to be honoring a longtime tradition in the world of crypto: losing money on doomed meme coins.
According to blockchain analysis firm Arkham Intelligence, the wallets linked to Ulbricht have already lost an estimated $12 million worth of donations on Pump Fun, the infamous meme coin platform that's often used by celebrities for blatant pump-and-dump schemes.
It remains unclear whether Ulbricht was behind the disastrous bets on the platform, or somebody else with access to his wallet keys.
The blunder happened when the wallets attempted to sell accumulated $ROSS tokens, a meme coin created to celebrate his pardoning. Whoever's behind the wallet seems to have accidentally sold the tokens at a massive discount — and before they could correct their mistake, automated trading bots made the situation far worse, leading to millions of dollars in losses.

Seems like if it's Ross - he jacked up his button clicking and missed out on gains

This is pretty much the bible of TA. 20+ years old, but covers all the basics well and gives you a strong foundation to build upon. Guys will argue TA is garbage and worthless. Blah blah, gtfo of my face. You learn to work with what you got and stick to a plan. But at same time, I don't use fib lines, gann, elliot waves, or moon phases. I just stick with basic patterns and volume.

bought the book based on your recommendation

never read it

kid picked it up recently and spent a month slowly digesting it and filling up a spiral notebook with notes and is now day trading on a simulator in preparation for the real thing

he's totally into it

could be interesting!
