Who else has convinced themselves they need a new board during this Covid-19 downtime?

I was just about to go and buy a COVID board, but then on a whim I just decided to go buy some bathroom scales and realised I packed on far too much lard! So I'm half punishing myself, half thinking any board I buy now might feel like sh!t soon (hopefully!)

Had a good chat with the shaper, who will be back in town in 4 weeks' time, and we both set some weight loss goals for then :D

I ended up with a stock 5'7 NB2. Had one surf so far and it felt awesome.
That's another board that's caught my eye - got an alert set up for it when it pops up for sale in my local classifieds.

Well, I finally convinced the wife that a new board was necessary.

Put the order in today.

Only one condition to the deal.

I have to get rid of one

What you getting, jkb?
Another Picklefork asym from Burch. I freakin' love my first one (5'6").

I've decided to slowly build a mini-quiver of them.

My 5'6 handles smaller conditions perfectly, although when I replace it, I'll go 5'7.

The one I just ordered will be a 5'10.

In the future, I'll get a 6'1.

Nice! Has the move away from NCSD changed your quiver?
Thanks!

Not yet, but I'm moving in that direction. A little bit of extra length is definitely beneficial up here.

In NCSD I would ride a groveler 90% of the time so my quiver was focussed around the low end. Up here, I ride my other boards way more often, but I could definitely use a few more choices in the mid to upper range. This new order will be a step in that direction.
