What's your favorite "micro" wave board?

Most of us have "small wave" boards, grovelers, etc.... Those of us in socal know how sad it's been for the last couple of months. So what's working for you in knee high surf? You know, the kind of surf where everybody else goes home, but you're so desperate you paddle out. Which board is still working?

I'm not going to kid anyone here. If its micro then I'm either drinking beers or drinking beers on a long board. I'm not going to try to force things in sub knee high waves.

VS Manta is by far the best "groveller" I've had. But, the surf
lately had really required a longboard. There is absolutely no
substitution for a longboard in truly tiny waves. I've tried
just about everything...and the right tool for the job is sometimes
pretty obvious. I would have had a blast on a log this morning.

My middle board (yellow) posted above was gonna be a longboard replacement for beachbreaks.

As Oslide mentioned above, I believe there is NO replacement for a longboard other than a longboard. Sure you can surf the same waveheights but at a certain size and softness, you can catch and do a lot more on a wave on a log.

I'll tell ya though, much like the manta everyone is screaming about, I can't tell you how many sessions my Album sub has saved. Not just a groveler, but a rip the fvck out of anything in your way groveler. I just placed an order for it's replacement this past week.

Been eyeballing this. Should have enough vol

honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/spo/4233052587.html

Otherwise just sticking with my 6'1 burch ball point hammer. Wish had the space to store a 10' or 11' or a cheap infinity 9-0 secret weapon

Gallery Variant. I can't tell you how many times I've had to convince myself to paddle out despite it being so small and weak and then surf for well over an hour or two, realizing I would have missed out on lots of fun if I had shined it.

Manta hands down. I can't believe how many knee high days I've surfed in NY this fall. It's ridiculous. The manta has kept the stoke alive and me in shape. This am was super fun though. It was so nice to take the mini driver out in meaty waves.

My god..it's full of k00ks
Knee-high is pretty average down here in FL. I'm usually on my couch potato or, if it's really small (shin or less) I'll break out an oversized plank and cruise.

I'm pretty happy to hear some of the posts above. More waves for me <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

If there's just a little bit of push, my SUB kills it in knee high surf. Long waves with less push, the log comes out.

Gonna have to say my 9'3" Pearson Arrow C.J. Nelson.
'cause I own it.
Although, the Carrozza "El Stumpo" I rented this past summer
in Huntington was super fun in small waves.

6"6" Firewire FST Potatonator 49L as a quad with 467 3/2 fronts and 420 rears same as my gemini setup

Also been eyeing a 6'10" Firewire FST Dominator at 55L lately

Rode a 9'0 Firewire Flexflight at 79L but it was too bulky

have an 8' PlusOne reverse Assym that'll catch anything and beyond that allot of 10' longboards. You can catch anything with a 12 Munoz Surftech you just won't turn and scoot it as much as a 6'6" chum lee pancake.

probably have more fun riding a mat though
so that it'll still feel like it's overhead no matter how small the wave
