What's your surfing style or style you are striving for?

Me <--- 80's style weak hind legged power surfer

grew up surfing in the 80's on a 6'0 stussy 4 channel thruster.

ride boars that accentuate this style. feels the most natural.

fat, drunk, sloppy, inland surfer, full of stoked and alt liquor ****. happy to be alive.

Used to see Kong out surfing all the time when he was home and a also a few years in Bondi so would see Cheyne and Richard Cram out tearing it up. Power surfing...vert reos...they were the sh!t. Getting old now so just want to carve with smooth style like riding a snowboard.

To be honest I cannot say that I'm striving for any particular style at all. I know what it feels like to surf a wave well, when you're on you know it. Not a hipster kook riding a mid length with weird hand jives, that's bullshit. Dane has been my favorite surfer for quite sometime, JJ also, despite being a knob Jordy is top notch also.

Short guys with powerful and smooth surfing throwing buckets - that stokes me out. I think anyone surfing good is my favorite surfer — pros and local guys. Good surfing is good surfing and you know it when you see it.

Learned on log and went to single spear then to early 80z twin. My favz growing up was/is: Dane Keahola, BK, Occy, Buttons, Bertlemann, Johnny Boy. Loved island power and koolness under pressure like no big deal reef is inches away and tube is size of a bus. Me wanna "b" middle aged power surfer short and stocky.

i am so over the air reverse every wave thing we see in most of todays pros.

Yes and yes - this is exactly why i got a Simon Anderson single flyer heritage with v bottom to try and surf like this.

I'd say aim for power, but I'm built like a chihuahua... anyhow, I try to be smooth like Machado/Slater and hack it like Knox with a bit of Reynolds flair... sans airs... cause I don't try it enough.
