Has anyone pointed out that a big part of campaigning in election season is working with, managing and at times stifling the press? Getting ahead of stories and all that. Running a campaign is gamesmanship and playing chess and managing a relationship with the media is an enormous part of it. Thats why campaigns have things like press secretaries.

Can't it also be said that an entity like Twitter is essentially an aggregate for the press where many outlets share their stories? So if we're saying that Twitter colluded with the Biden campaign to suppress the Biden laptop story on the flip side shouldn't we be saying that the NYPost colluded with the Trump Campaign and GOP operatives to run the laptop story in the first place?

The reality is that both sides are doing everything in their power to foster a working relationship with the press to work for them and against their opponents, that's the politics of campaigning. We shouldn't be surprised at what happens behind the scenes.
