God I hate not being in the know about all this crap.

Someone just point me in the right direction.

Please.

I need an intuitive fun program, that works. One that doesn't freaking remind me of updates every ****ing five hours, one that plays my music randomly, one that lets me burn direct to cd, change to mp3, do whatever I ****ing want, and do it intelligently.

Is there not one good music program out there??!

winamp. get the older version from their site. Version 3.0 causes nothing but problems for me. The old one worked just fine and there was no reason for a change.

I don't use the programs for anything but viewing and listening to stuff I find on the net, like on this site you gotta have either Windows or Quicktime and if you have neither or some other all knowing super application(unbeknownst to me) than you're not gonna see the vids.

My whole situation was just whacked out and everything had to be re-installed(three times before it finally got right, at the time I wished I had been in the backwards realm of never-never land you were recently in nep... I had nothing but a blank screen four four days!) so as of right now there's only Windows Media on mine... I can't use Real without re-downloading it and in the past there was conflicts with other media applications which caused my stuff to lock up so I'm in no hurry to test these waters right now, but I like Windows for vids and real for music and you can take quicktime and go to hell with that as far as I'm concerned.

As far as burning and listening to MP3's I've got stored on my own machine, I never had a problem with the Easy CD Creator that came with the Windows(Me) deal, 'Adaptact' I think it is. I just save the tunes and drag and drop into the playlist(burnlist), if I double click on a song in the playlist, Windows media opens and plays it.

I don't know much about this, but I want to start pilliaging the P2P scene for obscure stuff so I give all this too much thought lately. After those four days of nothingness, restoration, loss, repeat, repeat... I'm walking on egg shells right now, just waiting for that one wrong step to fall and take me back to the darkness, but I like to have WMP as default and Real as well and just be careful not to try to use them both at the same time. I hate Quicktime. **** I'm gonna have to get the Flash5 again too... I heard the newer RealOne thing has the spyware(like I care) but you can find the older ones that don't at the Real site.

Eggshells!!
