Just put fins all the way up to the nose already :roflmao: you're trying so hard to be innovative, you must have dreams about being Simon Anderson.

I reckon the griffin boards look great.

Maybe it's a Hawaii thing? I saw plenty of HP-style longboards used over there with both style and power. Here in Oz, they are definitely "uncool". Maybe it is the same in mainland US

Some like the tracking.
Track, step up, step back, pivot, step up, track, step back....
People even like the shitty pigs with big f'n D fins
They're all good

I'll add, I liked the regular single fin for small stuff
I really liked the side bites in Juice.

used to compete and I only ever placed in longboard even though I hated it haha
Surfing a noserider in big bowling surf was terrifying

Here‘s my 9’ Yater I’ve had for over 20 yrs. selling it, maybe I’ll just add some aftermarket nose channels n keep it. Looks like it needs either bunch more fins, or less fins… so confused now.

Griffy,

How about you shape a 10 channel longboard with a single fin that runs along the length of the board? I'm envisioning a gradual 9 foot bonzer fin.

all things being equal (traditional log, single fin, glassed heavy, etc.) i have found that pin tails have been easier to turn. But that's just me and we're all different.

I imagine fin size comes into play as well i.e. 8.5'' vs. 10'' but I'm no expert
