And there you have it....

You know everything I said is spot on. The dems are doing a full frontal attack on our rights and you can't defend it. You look the other way because because you hate orange man so much that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

All I'd like for you to do is when a dem proposes that the government take on a new power like regulating parodies...

...ask yourself this, "would I be ok with this when Red surfboards are in charge and get to decide who gets punished using this power?"

Walz has said (very recently) that "hate speech" is not protected by 1a. Hillary just said a couple days ago that people who put out "misinformation" should be prosecuted.

Who decides what is "hate speech" and "misinformation ? Whoever is in charge, that's who. Will you be ok with this when Orange man is president and puts Don Jr. in charge of determining what is hate speech and misinformation and who gets prosecuted for it?

Would you be ok with that?
Everything you said is not spot on. To start, Kamala isn't anti second ammendment. She does want better background checks, as do you. She is not going to take away all your guns.

That line of fear-mongering gets used every single election cycle..... and yet gun ownership goes up and up and up.

I really notice that it's all about feelings. It starts with a feeling. Then you collect the features that supports your feelings.

Evil is everywhere. So you have no trouble finding the evil that supports your feelings.

I see this a lot when online pundits speak.

What is something to watch is how people can avoid looking at features that don't support their feelings.

I see excesses on both sides.

All you can do is make a lesser of two evils choice

She has openly proposed clearly articulated policies that violate the second amendment. It’s not fear mongering to point out this fact. She supports MANDATORY “buybacks” of legally purchased rifles. Mandatory. That means by force in case you didn’t know.

I never said she has proposed “taking away all” guns. Maybe you think I’m fear mongering because you are attributing to me things I haven’t said.

I do think (my opinion) is that she and a very large number of those in power would like to eliminate private ownership of firearms altogether but they know they can’t do that at this time in history. I do believe they would if they thought they could.

She dropped that stance. Even her critics acknowledge that.

Is your support of more background checks a violation of the 2nd ammendment?

Every time they say something like that substitute the word entrenched bureaucracy for democracy and everything will make much more sense. For example: The big Turnip is a threat to "Democracy"! becomes The big Turnip is a threat to "entrenched bureaucracy"!
I think it’s something more specific than that and I think whatever the fuck is really going on in Ukraine is at the root of it.

When orange man made that phone call asking Zelenskyy to look into the Burisma stuff they freaked the fuck out.

Do you really believe she dropped her stance? Why did she? Has she addressed why she changed her mind since a couple years ago? Has she explained why she’s been against ownership of certain rifles her entire career but changed her mind a couple weeks ago?

Did I support “more background checks”? I do believe my stance on that is more nuanced.

For example if I were to go buy a gun now here in CA I’d get a background check and have to wait 10 days (cooling off period) to get it. There also was a recently overturned law that allowed only one firearm purchase per 30 days. I already own guns and have a CCW permit so why should I have to wait 10 days and get yet another background check?

My support of background checks is this...

Are you a felon? No gun for you. Have you just been convicted of a felony and have guns registered in your name? Give up your guns. This opinion is based in the reality of current law. I’d be fine with no gun registration at all but we do have it. We also have laws prohibiting felons from owning guns. Let’s cross reference felons with registered gun owners FIRST before we start passing yet more laws.

We just gonna skip past admitting your stance on the MANDATORY ("by force in case you don't know what that means") is not something she actually supports?

edit: looks like you edited your post. but still, you gotta admit that your stance is built off the exact opposite of what she's actually saying.

What she is saying today. Has she been asked why the change in position? Has she been asked why she has gone against a position she has held her entire career? Aren't you a little skeptical that she only mentioned she doesn't support mandatory "buybacks" when asked about the fact that she said she did support it just 3 years ago?

I think she needs to address the specifics of why she has changed her position, don't you?

"Harris reiterated her support for the mandatory buyback of assault weapons, joining Beto O’Rourke and fellow Sen. Cory Booker in backing the approach from the forum stage.

“We have to have a buyback program, and I support a mandatory gun buyback program,” she said. “It’s got to be smart, we got to do it the right way. But there are 5 million [assault weapons] at least, some estimate as many as 10 million, and we’re going to have to have smart public policy that’s about taking those off the streets, but doing it the right way.”"

This seems like a strong and clearly articulated position. Her position now is "never mind that."

Someone breaks into her home they get shot. With what and by whom?
Nobody ever asks her followup questions.

What's the make and model of her gun she claims to own? When was the last time she went to a range? What range does she train at? How often does she train with her weapon.

Um, yeah. This is why I said what I said. I have read a lot about this. Not all of what I read comes from the perspective of the US being the good guys.

Have you been to the WWII museum in Tokyo? Moscow? Have ever read or seen anything about WWII and the Cold War from something other than the official US government approved narratives?

Hint on Ukraine.

Big Energy and the European market.
