I do a variation (I only go up to 5 pull ups but add push ups, total 25 pull ups, 70 push ups) of this twice week - once after a 45 minute planking routine (8 different plank variations), once after a barbell routine (squat, deadlift, overhead press, curls, lunges). Two runs a week, one short (3-6 miles), one longer (8-10 miles). I try to surf at least twice a week, surf permitting, although surf's been pretty meager recently. I consider surf days and short run days rest days.

I'm back baby!

It's been a couple of weeks now that I decided to ditch lifting altogether. What I needed most was to lose weight, so I've been just running and swimming. Best decision ever.

I'm still not running a lot, but remember I said I nearly passed out running like 1 mile? Well I'm getting close to 5 miles now and I only stop because my knee starts to bother a bit (probably some tiny muscles still need some training).

I have a nice covered 20m swimming pool in my apt building and I've been using that too.

Most importantly, I'm finally getting back to surfing! I had surfed a couple times in the last month and today was the first day I surfed after losing quite a bit of weight and having started swimming again. What a difference!

I'm still kooking it out. I was never good and I pretty much stopped surfing for almost 3 years, so it's like learning all over again.

I made an excuse at work and went for a surf this morning... it was better than I could have ever imagined! Chest High, mostly lefts, kinda fast but peeeerfect and glassy... and empty!

Being a kook sucks though. First few waves it was the classic case of "needed one extra paddle". After finally adjusting I was having trouble getting up to my feet right... my feet were all over the place and I was missing wave after wave.

After a couple hours something clicked and I started catching wave after wave... not doing much and most of them running away from me, but I got to train what I was needing, getting up to my feet.

A few pumps here and there, one backside stab that I didn't complete but felt good.

Yup, I'm a kook again, but I know I'll get better quick. I got my spark back, can't wait for my next session. Will keep running and swimming as it's doing me wonders.

Good on you Brukuns. I try to surf regularly no matter what because once you get old it’s harder to keep the parts all moving when they are supposed to and where they are supposed to
I actually weighted myself yesterday. Haven’t weighted myself durina the worst of it (afraid of what I would see) but based on my previous fat streak I was probably at 94kg or just over it.

82kg yesterday. a couple more kgs and I’m on my ideal weight

Loose crown led to an extracted tooth and a bone graph. Has led me to eat much slower, more mindfully, and decrease portion size. I've lost weight but I'm also over it and want it too heal faster. Almost there. Going to continue eating more mindfully.

Oh, and deadlfts.

Yeah from tiger to sardine. How the greats have fallen.

j/k, harrylopez is a top bloke, even if he is starting over with a sequel and hasn't shown us his t!ts yet
They better be tiger t!ts - no sardine t!ts. And what goes below... yeah, probably stay away from sardine too although it's better than herring I suppose.

Oh and BTW brukuns, stocked for you. On same struggle as you after Covid dropped. Keep it up. Surf as much as possible. Don't wait for waves. Chase them down like they're bitches and you're on Viagra. Always stay active in the water; don't be flailing but don't be passive . Surf hard. You will burn calories like fuck. Just a 2 hour session will burn you at least 1,200 calories easy. More if it's chunky and you have to dodge bombs. Like I say, you can surf 5 hours and drink 8 beers (or 2 bottles of wine; less calories, just saying) and still drop 2 pounds a week no problem. Ditch the pasta - eat meat. That fat will be replaced with muscle quick.

I hate eating mindfully.

I'm a beast at heart.

This really bummed my parents out.

Sorry mom and dad.

I've tried to be a humane beast.

I usually go through the trouble of converting kg to lbs before posting but it was Saturday and I was lazy.

over 94kgs - over 207lbs

82kgs - 181lbs
How tall are you?

I got up to 200 over the summer.

I couldn't do that when I was lifting weights.

But now it's all fat.

This is hard to do when you are fat, weak, and old.

But I get the sentiment.
