I've done 240 miles on the bike in the last 10 days.

140 miles this week alone.

my average speed is up may 10-15%, depending on conditions, but what is
really crazy is how I feel during and after the ride. I've done an average of 35
miles back to back to back to back the last 4 consecutive days with no real
fatigue or soreness like I would have had if I was pushing the single this hard.

in fact, I don't know if I have ever done 4 consecutive days at this mileage on
the single speed.

I fkn love the drops. game changer.
I told you that bike slaps. :p

Dealing with a professor right now who pushed his luck.

Got himself ran over, His fault.

Is it worth it? Just buy a Peloton and keep the roads free,,,

I finished with 220 miles this week, 6 days straight

today I jammed out after a surf so I'm pretty much just going to go
lay over there on the floor and die now

best was (flat) 33 miles at average 18.7

I don't like my saddle

I've been thinking about getting a Brooks old school leather https://www.brooksengland.com/en_us/b17-carved.html.

Came across these located in El Segundo:

Got the 11-yr-old this 26". Had to drive up to Santa Monica to get it bc the next closest shop that had one was in Arizona.

Put the old Sid world cup and his components from his 24". Kept the original frame, seat/post, and wheels. Ended up 23 lbs

Dang, that's a lot of miles! I did a fun ride this weekend, though MDO was busy with cars. Got about 6 miles on dirt, too.

I took the factory one off and tried some stupid flex one that was cheap on a
facebook ad that I was too stupid to resist....

zekud or some sh!t

I layered some rubbery pipe insulation and taped it to the saddle and now it's
more comfortable. looks so ghetto on the bike....I think that makes me like it
even more

Put new more flared handlebars on my checkpoint. Can I just bitch and moan how much I hate handlebar tape. I wish road bikes would adopt some kinda version of lock on grips. My handlebar tape job is a complete and total disgrace and that was my second try after burning one set of lizard skin. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I really like Arundel gecko bar tape. And have a shop install it correctly. It shouldn't ever slip.

The trick is to keep the consistent overlap - less than half width.
It may take you a few tries, you can start over until you get it right.
Start at the bar ends.
Leave about 1/2 inch hanging at the start for the bar end plugs.
Finish with electric tape.

I like the classic $10 Cinelli cork tape, it has a really good feel and just enough padding.
