So no ride diffefence? Interesting.

I like the poly varials I have but might Try epoxy for the added durability.

I was also thinking 64/6 layup, I’ve only ridden 44/4. Any thoughts from those who’ve had both?
646 feels like normal PU 444 weight to me. I had a Varial glassed 444 for a while that I sold still brand new. Felt too light. 444 varial be fun for like a plasmic or small wave setup, but for a shortboard it felt crazy light. I would probably never get 444 varial, 44 deck and 6 underneath at a bare minimum

My 646 is 5’5 x 20.25 x 2.45 so I don’t know that I’d notice the glass specific flex difference from my 444 5’8 x 19.75 x 2.32 but the weight under arm difference is significant.

I was tripping on the weight of the 444 before I threw a pad, fins and layers of wax onto it. Now it just kinda reminds me of a team light, but lighter.

neither has been an issue in afternoon onshore chop. I think I would stick with 646 on anything not worth having in team light, if that makes sense.

How do you guys compare spinetek to varial? Thinking of pulling the trigger on a happy everyday...
I had a Spinetek Fever that was a favorite for over a year. I think the waves I surf on average are too short to really get a bead on any flex differences between the two. I'll probably keep going with Varial due to the durability, the foam density seems to keep the fin boxes more stable and if I do get a ding, it won't absorb water.

Thanks gang. I’m gonna go with 64/6 and epoxy resin. I was worried about stiffness but they make boards in full top to bottom carbon and people seem to like them so my layup can’t be that stiff.
Fwiw I asked one time about dents and they mentioned they have s-cloth, which is more dent resistant, but you want to stay with the normal 4+4/4. It’s just not on the web order form

They also told me the denting makes it stronger, compressing the foam, but that's probably just some gaslighting propaganda

wish that I went 646 on my Stamps Varial. But I like the weight of a poly.

In production YOLOS:

Smart. They can sell some stoke boars before they even finish. $100 cheaper than a custom.
Damn, 5’9 CF twinbender is caaaallin me…

As a marketing guy I can't help but think these aren't made. You buy them and then they fast track them. Just to test who wants what. No lead times quoted, have to email them to ask.

It's gotta be frustrating sitting on 3 pages of inventory when each product is $1,000 ish.

Like, why won't anybody buy these fcking Jordy borts?!

Yeah, I’m surprised how long some of the stoke boars have been sitting on the site. Someone finally bought the 5’9 Plasmic East that had been taunting me for months. I was in a particularly weak moment last week, and probably would’ve copped it. LOL
