Similar planshape to a Machado Sunday. More refined foil and rails. A Sunday in the same length carries 5 more litres of foam.
Thanks for the pictures. I am having something built that is almost identical to that 6’8, but I am going just a hair thicker and the nose is just a hair more pulled in. My construction is PU with epoxy resin. I can’t wait to try out a Twinzer set-up. I will post some picks and a review when the board is done.

looks nice but ya fk firewire
Yeah, it is crazy how expensive Firewires are given how cheaply they are made. I found a good deal on a used Sweet Potato and it is a blast to surf and doesn't even get pressure dents. After I busted out a fin and tried to repair it, I got a first hand look at how cheap and crumbly their foam is, and how hard it is to repair.

I see the Stu Kenson Firewire's are hitting shops this Fri/Sat. Just had a good look over the demo at the local shop that the shop guy (Bowie @waxfoot ) has been riding. He was very impressed.
Problem with Bowie is that he loves every board that comes in.

@waxfoot Yeah he does. Well he hasn't done that with a Long rider. :barf:
The tidbit I took away from his take was the way it holds through turns like a quad but can be released at will like a twinny.
I'm definitely not buying one (well a new one thats for sure).
Scooting down the GC to pick up that Sunova Torpedo groveller tomorrow morning and also have the Aviso white Rhino chaser (just a turn of phrase - not being in any way accurate) to muck around on if the waves ever get good again.
Just South of the island was fun a couple of mornings ago.

I might even get one if I can get a reasonable deal. Been wanting to try a twinzer for ages, but they are hard to come by in the old world. I've only owned one fireturd so far (vader). Didn't like the lft built, but tried my friends helium seaside and that actually didn't feel too bad.

The one thing that they say that I'd query is that the front fin cleans up the water flow to the main fin.
Ok but it's 1/2 the size (or often less?) of the main fin so isn't that actually going to do that to part of the fin?
Isn't the front fin creating turbulence as the water flows over it and leaves the trailing edge? If so how does this equate to cleaning up water flow? Questions, questions...oh look a Rabbit hole...wonder what's down there?
Like to see a waterflow video/simulation or whatever to show this happening.

I've posted a couple of times the water hose"test" (which I understand isn't scientific) that sort of shows water leaving the trailing edge of the canard and being directed in the direction of the main
