$1,100 pu/pe not known to shape twinzers :shrug:
Price I could go to Tim Stamps maybe even Jacob Campbell to shape twinzer I bet I would like more custom.

Ignore the price.
Price is what caught my eye for quality of build and even shape reminded me of CI OTR that are made to make a lot of people happy with mediocre bord. For a board like a twinzer and specially bonzer would go custom and specially for bonzer only stick to MC or JC. Just me I like things done my way with helpful experience of shaper and even consider quads speciality non stanard tour thruster.

Looks like there is a gap as opposed to overlap between the canards and main fins (going off the fin marks) when viewed from the side. Of the twinzers I have sampled, the ones with 1/8” to 1/4” gap have always felt better than the ones with overlap.

Been loving my Dane Perlee/Osprey quiver. He’s a wizard whose twinzer pedigree is legit and second to none. I haven’t been riding much else for the last 6 to 8mo. You’ll literally age 2yrs waiting to get one, but 100% worth it if you have other boards to ride in the meantime. These two(5’6 & 6’4) have been in the van more than anything else since I got them

Edit to mention: you get custom fin sets made for each board

I like em w 1” gap. From the guys that have been making em for a very long time- gap good for more powerful waves. Closer together/overlap better for weak waves

Hey Twinzees

Please can someone explain a twinzer to me like the retard I am. Should I expect a Twin feel, or a quad feel, or something in the middle? What kind of waves would one typically surf a Twinzer in, or is it irrelevant, and it's all about the board design when it comes to conditions?

My mabile fish has a loosey goosey twin feel and speed without ever sliding out and feels more confident pushing on bottom turns and going vertical. Quads are stiff to me

@waxfoot
lots of variables like most designs. A couple positives I feel: Fast out of the gate, don’t need pumping to maintain speed(like a thruster) freer feel through turns. Hated forward placement so much I started making my own
YMMV

I like the pulled in tail adding more control for looser fin set up
