tbh i just gave Stu, my height, weight and the types of waves i surf. The larger one is basically a performance mid-length. I told him about a well known mid-length Aussie shaper from Byron Bay that i've been ordering boards from and he just said "my boards will surf circles around those" I just laughed and realized he had me one the hook, deposit sent.
Who’s the Aussie shaper?
The only one that immediately springs to mind is Simon Jones.

Hey Twinzer nerds:

Let's say I'm ordering a channel bottom twin with rearish placed boxes and I asked for two plugs for canards. Is this a no no? Would one have to adjust placement for this? I could ask the shaper but I'm curious to hear your expert thoughts.

I dont think it's as "only this formula works" as everyone says. I had a happy accident with a similar situation

The 7’0” egg arrived yesterday ti CR via a friend arriving from CA. Came w/Stu’s NVS Fin setup, the smaller one is due next week and will be ready next week.
Life is bueno.
In celebration we ate poke, drank sangria and are now waiting for the endless ongoing heavy rain to stop so we can surf. View attachment 194411View attachment 194412View attachment 194413View attachment 194414

yeah it's bad, we stayed late @ the friends casa that brought the board down....talk about an exercise in adventure driving home. The road is paved until you hit our turnoff and its basically straight up for a mile in pouring rain. Thank god for gnar 4wd vehicles....we heard the President of CR was about 20 miles away surverying flood damage.

Yeah Caribbean and Southern Pacific get a lot more rain than we do, from Nosara south to Santa Teresa is getting carpet bombed with rain next few days.

But i got a new board and we're high up, so all good!

Fug that looks fun! Im down here too; most rain I've ever seen...
Lagrimas de San Juan...mudslide danger is real near my house. Don't go to far from where your staying or travel at night especially in remote areas, all you need is one sketch river crossing or a collision with cows flooded out of pasture to ruin your trip.

Beautiful board!

How far forward are the fins from the back of the board? Looks like it is 10 inches or more. Just curious. I have been reading a bunch on Swaylocks about Twinzer fin placement and on longer boards it looks like the main fins are further forward than the 8.75 to 9 inches referenced here.

Worthy question, I will have to measure & get back with you…these are my first Twinzers, so I just followed SK. But yeah it is awesome, can’t wait for the second one to show up. Really like the color.
