Sounds like a few of us will be going to the show on Sunday to check out the twinzers. I've been busy ubering my kids around on the weekends to their activities (or chasing the aurora), so I never got around to glassing my 4-curved-channel twinzer that I shaped a few years ago. However, I'm looking forward to seeing all the other boards that @need 4 speed and others have made for the show. Hope to run into some of you twinzer fans there.

Nice! Been meaning to order/try a Darchy for years... Hugh Brockman has built me a couple of nice twinzers and last I spoke to him seemed to be riding them himself too.
Yes Hugh's boards look great. This is my fourth from Darchy and the second we have really focused on Twinzer specifics and not just adapting an existing shape. The one before this new one is mega but this one just has that feeling under the arm. Ride report next week with luck.

canards up an inch ie no overlap
an inch from front of main to rear of canard, 1/8 toe

1 3/8 “slot”

What a beauty. What are the dims on this? Would you mind specifying fins and canards positions?
Dims are
5”10 19 1/4 2 1/2
using true Ames Twinzer set. Work really well with board. I tried them in my Thomas surfboard twinzer and they were too squirrely. I do have a set from thomas and they work perfectly. I guess always stick with the recommended ones the shaper says
not sure about the position but the board was done out of heart of glass in Byron who also does the panda boards in oz. So I assume pretty similar position to those.

I actually have one - a twinzer RV diamond (round tail though). According to Shey from XTR it was the first one he's seen, and XTR does all US poly + XTR MC boards. I wrote Carlos from MC about it first to see if it could work out and they made it. I'll take pics tonight
Just dinged the board a few hours ago

Beautiful board. It looks very similar to my favorite board, but I have a swallow tail. Slightly different dimensions at : 6’4 x 21.5 x 2.75.

the good thing about XTR is that it doesn’t suck up water. That ding looks like it should be easy to repair.

Nice shapes. I love the detail in the swallow tail and the wings. What are the dims on the boards.
tbh i just gave Stu, my height, weight and the types of waves i surf. The larger one is basically a performance mid-length. I've been riding them for about 3 years now in the slopey reefbreaks in this area, the smaller one is for my local beachy here in Costa Rica. I told him about a well known mid-length Aussie shaper from Byron Bay that i've been ordering boards from and he just said "my boards will surf circles around those" I just laughed and realized he had me one the hook, deposit sent. A friend from Santa Barbara is bringing them down next month, I will post photos, dims, the whole enchilada. I'm deciding on fins and will prob order an extra set of keels to supplement the stocks that come with.

it will be 4 months since the order, a friend is gonna drive down from Santa Barbara and p/u on Nov 1, he had knee surgery so there was a delay...they're gonna be insane in our waves in Costa Rica.
