I've handled some of his boards before, they were pretty pedestrian.
In my experience a lot of those guys at the top don't seem to have anything crazy going on with their stuff.
If you can easily see a design feature chances are there is too much of it

I agree. When I watched that video this view caught my attention, just a masterful blending of curves. Also judge the tree by the fruit. Mick's surfing in recent clips is sharp.

Just my version of the surfboard , it involves the fins that go with it and the placements that this bottom shape allows .
