Massage those tendons and hope the injections help, otherwise you might need tendon release surgery.
Apparently so. The PA indicated it's inflammation in the passageway in which the released tendon must be able to move freely to release. I asked him about anything I could do at home but he indicated there was nothing I could do. The surgery (if this round of shots failed) seems straight forward but would rather not go there.

Wife had surgery for trigger finger. No complications, resolved the issue about 10 years ago.

It's a weird affliction. First popped up last summer, pinkie on both hands....at first, was just kind of a curiosity, like "hey, my pinkies are stuck" and I could pop them loose with a flick of my finger. Got the steroid shot in both hands, was good for about six months. Then it came back with a vengeance - pinkies were really stuck and felt like I'd been stabbed in the hands with a pencil. Just got the second round of steroids, if it comes back, i'll need the surgery. Did your wife recover completely?

Yes, 100%. No further symptoms after surgery. Her hand specialist, Dr. Gelb retired from CORE in Encinitas. We’ve heard the new hand specialist is outstanding. Happy to make inquiries if you’re local. John
