What doesnt add up? Dan is absolutely shredding in that video. Those waves looks crazy good! The board is drawing nice lines too (with the help of Tomo).Something doesn't add up about the new FW Revo Max video.
@ReForest it's gonna trip all of us out to see you riding a 6'6I was originally going to order a 6'0 but then I thought it wouldn't be a midlength, it would be more of a steup up board.
I have a 6'3" midlength-ish shape that a friend shaped. Its a round nose pin tail, twin fin shape. But that board has actually felt small at times and more like a tubeshooter step up, not a midlength. So then I was looking at the 6'6" and Ron from Boardboard messaged me and said that the almighty Devon Howard told him that you should order 1ft over your height for a midlength. So since i'm about 5'6" I ordered ordered a 6'6".
Am I on track with the mid? This is uncharted territory.
I think you will love the 6´6 ". My biggest board was 5´10 "until I got my Townsend (6´6") (almost 15 years riding boards well under 6´0). I find myself riding it a lot. It is such a fun board when there are some waves.I was originally going to order a 6'0 but then I thought it wouldn't be a midlength, it would be more of a steup up board.

After riding my mid a bit, i notice how much better i surf my shortboard.I was originally going to order a 6'0 but then I thought it wouldn't be a midlength, it would be more of a steup up board.

Do tell…Something doesn't add up about the new FW Revo Max video.
Got any more signed shaping jerseys available?Wanted to jump back on here and add some context to the Revo max footage and marketing to hopefully add some clarity.
It was difficult to exactly categorize this model , the smaller sizes ( 6'0 - 6'6) in the range perform as step ups for open faced waves or Mini Mids, the larger sizes fall into the mid length category. we settled on "mini-mid length". you could also call it a "Mini- Simmons"
Im surfing the 6'3 (35L) in the majority of the Lennox footage, ( editor got that one wrong). for reference i normally ride 27L.
this board is not a high performance surfboard , its doesn't like a vertical attack, its a down the line flow machine. perfect for crowded point surf or days with lots of current, a wave catching machine. it feels great in all sort of sizes but it comes alive in bigger stuff, the Spine vee and keel setups lock in and it feels like snowboarding. when i think of perfect spots for this board i think Cardiff Reef, Swamis, Rincon, Raglan, Lennox, Noosa, waves like Sunset beach, Laniakea at the top end.
happy to answer questions.... DT.
How much money you got @Havoc ? 10 G's and it can be yours.Got any more signed shaping jerseys available?
Tangentially applicable. Currently using hatchet quad rears in my SciFi 2. First used them on an overhead day with a lot of crosswind bump, like 2 ft ribs across the wave face. They did a great job of keeping the tail anchored in a good way even with small front fins but still pivoty and loose. So I think they do a good job of settling any turbulence under the back foot and solid on rail. Oddly enough these trailers are 50/50 foiled.Anyone ridden their Cymatic with Tomo hatchet (the recent ones not the Krypt)?
Still suffering through a wave drought so have to be patient on testing them myself.
