The last 4" of tail also provide rail line. Widening the tail provides lift. I've seen as many explanations of surfboard hydrodynamic principles as there are shapers. I'm not sure this has ever really been studied or formalized.
First concept , Speed
You go faster across the wave ! Compared to going straight in !
Going straight in you are only going at the speed of the swell :drowning: pretty dang slow

What ever happened to QISC? I used to love QISC; it was my favourite. Had some great times together, me and QISC. Now VQC comes along and pretends it's all better and new, but we know the truth, don't we guys? QISC FOREVER!

Sounds like an interesting board, super thick though for my preferred volume 2 7/8 for 34-35L which is 1/4 thicker than the Tomo version. Must be the vee bottom making it thick.

I thought the same thing... but it's because of the V. The rails are pretty tapered on the one I felt up at Camp Shred.

I absolutely love my Revo with the QISC, so its going to be interesting to ride the VQC and feel the difference.

It looks like Keahi is holding the Revo with the VQC. You can see the V in the middle. That quiver is pretty impressive. I wonder what he's cooking for Kelly?

Hows that swallow tail Revo looking thing!
