How’s the banana fish treating you? Would you do anything different? Tail shape, fins etc?
Banana Fish is treating me well - I'd say it feels like a fishier Flare. The one thing I needed to adjust is my expectations around its ability to be a total gutless wave mushbuster - because rocker isn't as flat as a 'typical' fish - I probably still need a proper groveler to fill that range. I'm running TP1 larges and 80/20 medium quad rears. Medium quad rears are the way to go, even with me being close to 190 lbs. I think awhile back @JDJ suggested asking Tim to move the fin placement up to make it turn slightly looser, and I'd agree - it's got great forward drive and projection while feeling in control. Tail shape works great as a shallow-ish fishy swallow.

When I ordered, Tim suggested going thicker than my typical 2.56 boards up to 2.63, and I'm glad I did. It's foiled out really well.

Just put in an order for a 6'2 Flare Up, so I guess I'm a full-on Stumps guy now. Will always have a Pyzalien2 in the quiver though.

I ordered my BF at 2 9/16 and should have gone 2 5/8 due to the foil. But it will great at the current volume too. Just personal preference.

^ Interesting. Tim made it sound like he wasn't into making an asym when I brought up the idea a year or two ago.

How's that Flare Middy feel under arm? I'm gonna get one too, probably in a similar length.

I'm going back and forth with Tim on my winter order now.
