I ended up trying out the AMKs in my banjo this morning. I loved it. More drivey, held through the last 10% of a turn better, and yet was still easier to throw up into the lip. I think the flex plays into that too. The NVS stamps fins are pretty stiff.

Ill give the BMTs a chance, but after today Im not feeling the need to change it up.

i contacted nvs about making a standard fiberglass set. said they need a min order of 20 sets to do it. agree g10 is way too stiff. tried a set recently and no thanks.

In hindsight, I think the flex was my only problem with those fins. The flex of the AMK is more forgiving.

I wonder how the thickness of the fins plays into it too. The g10 fins are paper thin, whereas the AMKs are pretty thick.
