Booked a long weekend in Baja for Oct. I haven't been down in a couple years. Last time the border crossing in TJ was pretty f'ed up and detours were aplenty. Has anyone been down recently? Wondering what to expect.

Thanks in advance,

Belch

Depends on when your coming back. Sundays are the horrible. It also gets worse the later you wait.

I take it that you don't have a sentri pass, do you have a passport card? If you do, you can use the ready lane. It's much faster then the general population lanes.

We're coming back on Monday, yeah coming north on Sunday is the worst.
I was just wondering the current traffic patterns going south, seems like it's always a mess.
I have a passport book, not sure the difference. But, like the sound of a quicker lane.

I cross 4-6 times a month and its always different.

Its easy to go South. Get Ins and your FMM then have a good time.

Its also known as a Visa, Tourist Card, Tourist Visa, etc. Its a document showing you are in the country legally. Here is a link showing more info: https://www.bajabound.com/before/permits/visa.php

I also recommend using Baja Bound for insurance as well as Border Crossing info.
