I haven't built a thruster in at least 7 years. Was thinking about it.

What is the latest erBB orthodoxy when it comes to fin placement? I wouldn't want to produce a heretical product. Is 11" and 3-1/2" still the go to? 6 degrees cant, 3/16-1/4 toe? Or have there been changes while I wasn't paying any attention? Like maybe GG convinced us that 9" and 2-1/2" was better?

that sounds about right, and yes N4S’ numbers measure up to the Griffin I had (lower tail rocker and flat bottom though..)

How did that go? My simple equation comes from back in the single fin days. Move the fin up- looser. Move the fin back- stiffer.

That was a nice clean board as a thruster, but it was a thruster-twin combo and I almost always rode it as a twin…

With thrusters there is also difference between front and rear- bigger the difference the stiffer the board
You mean the "spread?" Leading edge of fronts to trailing edge of rears?

Twin plus trailer or just twin? 10-1/2" for a twin is or has become...unorthodox. How wide was the tail on that one?

It had dedicated twin plugs @ 5.75”.
I can’t remember the tail width but 15-15.5” rings a bell. It had a really nice balanced, curvy outline and was a standout board as a twin. I got a second twin from Greg sans thruster plugs, little bit smaller in EPS but I didn’t like the feel as much as the first,

Whoa. The tips were almost haging off the back of the board.
