I will think about this amazing woman as I swim my miniscule mile and a half this morning in a nice warm shark free pool. Can't imagine swimming in water that cold for that long.

I know her husband. My daughter used to work in his company. He's a solid surfer and cool guy. Never met the wife but he told me about her swimming accomplishments. This one -incredible-43 degrees no wetsuit.

Dayum. 17 hours constantly swimming.

The article says she deliberately weighs over 200 lbs. How do you put on weight while training for an ultra endurance sport? So much of the endeavor is mind bending. Keeping tourniquets on board in case of shark attack.

She says if you put your mind to it you can do anything. Maybe her mind. My mind can barely conceive jumping into SF water for a few minutes with no wetsuit, let alone 17 hours.
Kind of superhuman.
